Commissioned Officer Careers
After earning their Bachelor's or Master's degree from Cal Poly, Cadets will become Commissioned Officers in the United States Army. Commissioned Officers are responsible for leading and training enlisted Soldiers, planning missions, and organizing the internal and external affairs of the Army. They are part of a unique club that includes George Washington, Ulysses S. Grant, George Patton, Dwight D. Eisenhower and Douglas MacArthur.
Officers are entrusted with the welfare, morale and professional development of the Soldiers under their command. As such, the Army grants Officership to only the most qualified, talented men and women. There are many career paths that Army Officers can pursue throughout a variety of different specialty branches. These inlcude:
Manuever, Fires, and Effects (MFE) Branches
Force Sustainment (FS) Branches
Operations Support (OS) Branches
Army Medical Department (AMEDD)
Judge Advocate General Corps
