Cal Poly Army ROTC Color Guard
The Cal Poly ROTC Color Guard is tasked with the display, presentation, and protection of the flags of the United States of America and the State of California during special events on and off campus. It is a tradition that extends back to the creation of the ROTC program at Cal Poly in 1952 and remains one of the most visible activities that the unit undertakes.
The Color Guard is made up entirely of Cadet volunteers who commit themselves beyond normal ROTC requirements to continually perfect their drill and ceremony skills, take special care of their uniform and equipment, and maintain superior physical fitness and soldierly appearance.
